On Purpose.

Today's my six month anniversary of sobriety. My freelance work is gaining momentum. I've begun production on an animation I'd like to see wrapped by my 24th. My first television commercial (shot/edited by yours truly) went to air last week (hey, like Lara said, least it aint Dorritos). Pieces of my puzzle are falling back into place. I have stability, I might have some enjoyment, but oh do I miss love.

I bought my copy of Tool's latest album 10, 000 Days at the midnight release last night and in every way the package has exceeded my expectations. They have clearly lifted the art of presentation, the presentation of art, to new heights. If the music isn't your cup of tea, please buy it for the package design. You won't be disappointed.

We're all a mix of good genes, bad genes, good habits, bad habits. A great piece of advice I was given is to 'assume that everyone you meet is fighting a mighty battle.' I think in most cases you'd assume correctly. Keep doing me proud. Peace.

And The Truth Is Years Away.

I'm back from my tour of the top end. My keyboard jocky hands wrapped firmly around handlines caught firmly in the mouths of sharks bigger than me. The barrels of a Winston twelve-gage smoked in my clasp after taking down a policeman in a friendly trap shoot. Suns set. Sandflies nourished. Frames of reference waltzed. XXXX Gold beer. Zero Coke. Water. Red Emperor. You just have to try the Emperor. Glad to be back. Blackjack. Jackpot. And the truth is years away.

Heartthrob (And Acting Like I Don't Need Everything).

The funny games we play. I haven't been drinking alcohol for ages now. I understand why we do, why we don't. I understand the relative of the sedative now, but the misinformation is astronomical. The misinformation is absolutley astronomical. I've started constructing to-do lists each night before I go to bed consisting of tasks for the following day. This has done wonders for my productivity. Without these lists I'll wonder aimlessly and achieve a fraction of the desired. Played poker with good friends last week and scored my skates back off a mate so I plan to go skating asap. Met up with Kirsty in town on Saturday evening who was out celebrating her friend Mel's 20th Birthday. Did I mention she can dance! ;) Afterward, Mel, Dan, Kirsty and I went for pancakes (at 6am!). Was a very long but enjoyable evening. Remember that your state of mind is determined by the information you feed it with. Peas.
